Lifestyle Portrait at Art Centre

We supposed to have an outdoor portrait product shoot of Cheong Sam dress today in Hong Kong, however we had to call off in last minute before the shoot due to bad weather. It was very unfortunate to our model, Alina because she traveled one hour and reached the shooting location on time. We had to reschedule the shoot with the client next month. Me and Alina were very upset and disappointed for the last minute cancellation, but there were nothing much we could do with the weather condition.

In order to make the day productive instead of disappointment, I suggested Alina that we could do lifestyle shoot at a different location with roof cover so that we would not need to bother about the weather. The Jockey Club Creative Art Centre (JCCAC) at Shek Kip Mei was the perfect place for the lifestyle shoot.

JCCAC is an award winning architectural conversion from the former Shek Kip Mei Factory Estate. It is opened in 2008 and function as arts village and arts centre, providing studio facilities for the arts community for the public to experience arts and culture.

There are arts studios and display venues for creative work, and we enjoyed exploring and shooting in the building. We spent almost 2 hours for the lifestyle shoot inside and outside the building. Alina has a very good personality and is a out-going person. It was a wonderful session and I enjoyed working with Alina.

Here are some of my favourite shots.
