DIARY

Diary about photography and lifestyle projects and experiences.

Sleepless Town

I came across a padestrian bridge crossing the railways. I paused on the bridge and looking at the trains passing by underneath. I was carrying a tripod and a Canon 5D mark ii DSLR, attached with a EF 24-105 F4 prime lens. I took my tripod and camera out and started taking long exposure pictures of the trains passing by.

Replicating the Marshall Speaker picture

Marshall started building and selling amplifiers back in the 1962. Their amplifiers are used by many rock stars and bands, so they have a very good reputation in their products. If you look at packaging, it is presenting the speaker in simplicity with a cool tattoo hand turning the knob. This picture has plain background which minimize any distraction and at the same time highlighted the unique classical and cool looking design.

Mimicking Ikea Style

As I love photography and I bought lot of things from Ikea for my little baby Hayley which is 7 months old now. Recently, I bought a plush dinosaur toy for baby Hayley so I shot a few pictures of Hayley with her new Ikea dinosaur. What I did was mimicking the Ikea catalogue with Hayley and Ikea dinosaur picture

Cool Looking Marshall Headphone

I am a big fan of minimalist design so I would say the product design of Marshall is very minimalist but has lot of attention to details. Love the Marshall logo, the font type is simple and classic, love the buttons and their product packaging. My favourite is the soft leather on their headphones and speakers.

5 Reasons To Print Photos

I was born in 1983 before the digital world. I still remember how the pictures were taken with film cameras when I was still a child. We took pictures with film camera, we send the film to lab and collect the negatives and prints after few days later. There was no smartphone, no internet and no social medias. The only way to see and share the pictures was by the actual prints.

The Love of Mother and Daughter

She had to catch her flight at 1pm and she asked me to give her a lifestyle portrait shoot with her daughter in Hong Kong. The schedule was really tight and we had to start our shoot from 8am and end by 10am so that she could reach Hong Kong Airport by 11am.

Carmen and Brian Pre-Wedding

We scheduled the portrait session for two hours from 4pm. However, the makeup artist spent more than two hours to do the make up and hair causing us half an hour behind original schedule. But we were lucky because it was a good weather with good enough of natural lights for almost two hours in the evening.

Sunday Portrait

Kowloon Bay has lots of shops and small factories, since it was Sunday the streets were pretty empty with less traffics, thus making our shoots a lot easier.
